Friday 1 May sees the Harley-Davidson Custom Motorcycle Show roll into Senigallia, Italy, for the Harley-Davidson Spring Rally, sponsored once again by Metzeler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metzeler only produces tyres for motorcycles \u2013 they\u2019re experts at what they do and will give away three sets of tyres as part of the prizes on offer at this year\u2019s event in Piazza Garibaldi. You can visit Metzeler throughout the rally at Parcheggio Foro, next to H-D Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All entrants will also receive free gifts courtesy of Harley-Davidson and Metzeler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Custom Motorcycle Show is free and open to entries of all Harley-Davidson\u00ae<\/sup> motorcycles and custom derivatives. We try to keep things simple \u2013 you don\u2019t have to pre-register, just turn up, sign up, pick up your free gifts and you\u2019re in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Times and location<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Registration is from 10.30am to 1.30pm
Judging starts from 2pm
Awards-giving will start from 4pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location:<\/strong> in front of the main stage at Piazza Garibaldi, enter via the one way system using Via Testaferrata, turning right from Via Portici Ercolani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if you are not planning to enter a motorcycle, be sure to come along and vote for your favourite in the People\u2019s Choice Awards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motorcycle categories<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are six categories, reflecting the evolving styles of motorcycle and customisation and acknowledging that some bikes may fit into more than one. When you enter, you can discuss with our entry judge which would be the best fit for your build. However, the judge\u2019s choice is final on this matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s not a concours event so we\u2019re not scrutinising every nut and bolt and gasket; judging is mainly based on aesthetic and how it fits a category theme, rather than precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The categories for this year are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tourer and Bagger:<\/strong>\u00a0two- and three-wheeled bagger- and touring-oriented H-D\u00ae\u00a0<\/sup>models, with identifiable original engine cases. All other modifications allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cruiser:<\/strong> Harley-Davidson cruiser and roadster-oriented custom bikes. Evo and later H-D models with original frame number and engine cases; all other modifications allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sport and Clubstyle:<\/strong> custom performance-oriented H-D models and Clubstyle H-D-based custom bikes. Original H-D frame and engine cases required; all other modifications allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adventure and Off-road:<\/strong> Pan America\u00ae<\/sup> or any adventure-oriented or off-road H-D motorcycle, or off-road motorcycle brands associated with or previously owned by H-D, with original frame number and engine cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antique and RestoMod:<\/strong> for antique, original or restored Pre-Evo Harley\u00ae<\/sup> models (Flathead, Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead, Ironhead Sportster\u00ae<\/sup> etc) with original frame number and engine cases; for RestoMod, all models inspired by and with a significant Pre-Evo H-D component (e.g. engine or frame) but with contemporary custom modifications. Note: separate awards for \u2018Antique\u2019 and \u2018RestoMod\u2019 may be made at the discretion of the judges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radical Custom:<\/strong> anything goes \u2013 so long as customisation is extreme, and to a professional or very high amateur standard. Harley-Davidson must be the basis of, or the inspiration for, the build. Custom fabricated and modified components welcome. Motorcycles heavily representing or promoting non-Harley-Davidson brands, or with a high proportion of components from other motorcycle manufacturers, are not eligible for entry in this category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each category will have a winner and a runner-up, with Best in Show, People\u2019s Choice and Metzeler Judges\u2019 Choice awards complemented by Best Paintwork and Best Detailing awards, should the judges decide there are worthy entries too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note:<\/em><\/strong> all motorcycles are entered into this show at the judges\u2019 discretion and in the categories assigned. Motorcycles that do not meet the requirements may be politely refused entry. It is not a concours show and no other categories will be considered. Judges\u2019 decisions are final.
