Three days. One great ride.

Discover some of B.C.’s best motorcycle roads – with a comfortable place to recharge each night

You don’t need two weeks off to enjoy an unforgettable motorcycle adventure. Sometimes all it takes is a long weekend, a full tank of fuel and a route that combines mountain highways, vineyard-lined valleys and welcoming communities.

This three-day itinerary showcases some of British Columbia’s most memorable riding, with Sandman hotels providing comfortable places to recharge at the end of each day.

Friday: Vancouver to Penticton (Approx. 400 km)

Leave the Lower Mainland behind and head east on Highway 3, one of British Columbia’s classic motorcycle routes. Winding through Hope, Manning Park and Princeton, the Crowsnest Highway (Highway 3) delivers everything riders look for – twisting mountain roads, sweeping views and plenty of opportunities to stop for a coffee or photo along the way.

As the mountains give way to the vineyards and orchards of the South Okanagan, you’ll arrive in Penticton ready to relax after a full day in the saddle.

After checking into Sandman Hotel Penticton, unwind with a great meal, stretch your legs along the waterfront or simply recharge for another day of riding.

Saturday: Penticton to Vernon (Approx. 150 km)

Today’s ride is shorter, leaving plenty of time to explore the heart of the Okanagan.

Cruise north through Peachland, West Kelowna and Kelowna before continuing along the eastern shore of Okanagan Lake toward Vernon. Expect beautiful lake views, rolling hills and vibrant communities, with countless places to stop for lunch, browse a local café or pick up fresh Okanagan fruit along the way.

Once in Vernon, settle in for another comfortable evening at Sandman Hotel Vernon before preparing for the journey home.

Sunday: Return to Vancouver (Approx. 320-450 km depending on route)

The ride home offers two great options.

For a more relaxed return, head west through Merritt before making your way back to the Lower Mainland.

Looking for one final adventure? Continue north before connecting with the spectacular Duffey Lake Road. Widely regarded as one of British Columbia’s premier motorcycle routes, it rewards riders with dramatic mountain scenery, endless curves and unforgettable views before descending toward Pemberton, Whistler and Vancouver.

Either way, you’ll finish the weekend with another outstanding day in the saddle.

Ride all day. Recharge all night.

Great motorcycle trips aren’t just about the roads you ride – they’re also about where you recover at the end of the day.

After hundreds of kilometres in the saddle, a comfortable room, secure parking, a hot shower and a great meal can make all the difference. With convenient locations throughout B.C. and across Canada, Sandman Hotel Group makes it easy to build memorable motorcycle getaways without overcomplicating the planning.
