You may be inspired to try out a ride close to home, or you might seek out an adventure further afield. Each of the ride options includes an overview of the route, with some top tips for stop-off points along the way.

Canada
- Elbow Falls and Forgetmenot Pond, Alberta, 65km
This quick little there-and-back ride is a great option for those days when you need a little wind therapy but don’t have a lot of time. - Highwood Pass/Kananaskis Trail, Alberta, 177km
The Highwood Pass portion of the Kananaskis Trail is the highest paved road in Canada, reaching a summit of 2,206 metres above sea level. Don’t let the short distance fool you – this is a ride worth savouring slowly. - Gold Rush Trail, British Columbia, 743km
The gold prospectors that originally followed this route in the 1850s and ’60s would surely envy the time you can make a Harley-Davidson – but this ride is packed with opportunities for sightseeing, so plan to take a few days nonetheless. - The Pacific Rim Highway, British Columbia, 170km
This scenic ride across Vancouver Island takes you from the sheltered shoreline of Parksville and Qualicum Beach to the wild Pacific Coast at Tofino. - Winnipeg to Falcon Lake, Manitoba, 136km
You’ll follow the highway through rolling farmland all the way to the shores of Falcon Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park. - Saint John to Moncton on the Fundy Coastal Drive, New Brunswick, 212km
This ride packs some of New Brunswick’s top tourist attractions into one adventurous day of coastal riding. - Edmundston to St. Andrews, New Brunswick, 347km
This scenic route takes you from Edmundston, at the northwest corner of the province, all the way down to Saint Andrews at the southwest tip. - Port aux Basques to Gander via Gros Morne, Newfoundland and Labrador, 639km
While you could theoretically tackle this route with one long day in the saddle, it’s worth making a weekend of it to allow time to explore Gros Morne National Park. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was formed by colliding continental plates during the formation of North America. - St. John’s to Old Perlican, Newfoundland and Labrador, 165km
This short ride through the Avalon Peninsula begins in St. John’s, the capital city of Newfoundland and Labrador. But soon, you’ll find yourself far from city life as you ride between the many small villages that dot Canada’s far East Coast. - Halifax to Antigonish via Sherbrooke Village, Nova Scotia, 266km
This twisty ride follows Nova Scotia’s rugged Eastern Shore from Halifax to Sherbrooke Village before turning inland up to Antigonish. - Port Hawkesbury to Louisbourg, Nova Scotia, 172km
Taking just over two hours of road time to complete, this ride might be short – but it’s packed with incredible scenery and features two National Historic Sites, so you’ll want to allow plenty of time for getting off the bike. - Highlands Loop, Ontario, 1,038km
Block off at least three full days for this epic route just outside Ottawa, with stunning scenery, charming small towns, and exceptional riding roads all the way around. - The Big Loop, Muskoka, Ontario, 886 km
This lengthy ride offers the ultimate in Ontario touring just north of Toronto through cottage country and the Canadian Shield. - Borden-Carleton to East Point, Prince Edward Island, 154km
This ride begins at the Gateway to P.E.I. in Borden-Carleton at the base of Confederation Bridge. You’ll ride through some of the most beautiful scenery Canada’s smallest province has to offer, with plenty of small coastal towns worthy of a stop for photos and refuelling of both body and bike. - Summerside to Tignish via West Point, Prince Edward Island, 133km
This short but scenic ride starts in Summerside, PEI’s second-largest city, known as the City by the Sea. Before kickstands up, take a stroll through the town to admire the historic architecture from the 19th century shipbuilding boom. - Baie-Comeau to the Daniel-Johnson Dam, Quebec, 216km
This ride makes for a fantastic day trip that will have a smile on your face from start to finish. Begin your day at Baie-Comeau on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River. Head north on Highway 389 through the Manicouagan-Uapishka Biosphere Reserve. - Le Tour de la Gaspésie, Quebec, 831km
