One of the strengths of our community is the opportunity to recommend epic rides and share routes for other members to enjoy. You may be inspired to try out a ride close to home, or you might seek out an adventure further afield. Each of the ride options includes an overview of the route, with some top tips for stop-off points along the way.

  • Riviera Ride – Sarandë to Vlorë, Albania, 126km
    This winding route in the so-called ‘Land of the Eagles’ takes you past ruined castles, olive groves, thick forests and beautiful beaches.
  • Iberian peninsula, Andorra, 99km
    What Andorra lacks in size, it makes up for in sheer charm and fascinating places to see and experience.
  • Salzkammergut lakes, Austria, 150km
    The Salzkammergut region of Austria, stretching east of Salzburg, is a magnificent natural landscape of glacial lakes, rolling Alpine hills, remote wilderness and rugged mountains.
  • Weinviertel, Austria, 210km
    Who fancies a tour of Austria’s largest wine region and has a little room in their panniers for a souvenir or three?
  • Last Post Ride, Belgium, 146km
    This tour, starting to the east of Ghent and ending in Ypres, takes in many of the First World War battlefields and cemeteries from Passchendaele to Ypres itself, as well as the iconic Menin Gate Memorial, all providing poignant stops along the way.
  • The Orchard Route, Belgium, 150km
    This circular route is all about unhurried travel along quiet country roads through the beauty of Limburg and showcases the orchards, vineyards, low hills, woods, abbeys, historic towns and romantic castles for which the region is famous.
  • Prizna to Medulin, Croatia, 220km
    With around 6,000km of coastline, Croatia is a perfect destination for motorcyclists, and the E65 on the Dalmatian Coast shows off the serene beauty it’s small wonder that this is considered one of the greatest scenic coastal roads in the world.
  • Alsace Wine Route, France, 103km
    Running between Colmar and Strasbourg, the Alsace Wine Route in eastern France boasts wonderful scenery and lovely Alsace villages while traversing through a landscape of vineyards and wineries.
  • Route Napoléon, France, 423km
    Breathtaking scenery, picturesque French villages, Alpine peaks as high as 3,000 metres and awe-inspiring mountain roads.
  • Berlin and Spreewald, Germany, 342km
    Spreewald is a forested biosphere reserve located in Brandenburg, southeast of Berlin, and is famous for its landscape of rivers and more than 200 winding canals crossing meadows, forests and wetlands, with traditional villages unchanged for centuries.
  • Hunsrück and Moselle, Germany, 280km
    This circular route around the southwest German state of Rhineland-Palatinate incorporates quaint riverside towns and lush green valleys.
  • Euganean Hills and Padua, Italy, 130km
    This route begins by exploring the Euganean Hills, a national park comprising 81 volcanic peaks celebrated for their stunning scenery and hot springs.
  • SS300 Gavia Pass, Italy, 45km
    Everyone has heard of the Stelvio Pass in Italy, but fewer know about, or have ridden, Gavia Pass. The SS300 Gavia Pass runs south from Bormio to Ponte di Legno for about 43km and is a truly spectacular road with fast, sweeping bends and hairpins, tight sections and long straights.
  • Mdina to Qawra, Malta, 29km
    This route takes in the best that northern Malta has to offer, running from Mdina Gate to Qawra and taking in much of the northern interior as well as the coast. Qwara Point is a breathtaking beach and resort just off the Qwara promenade, with clear turquoise waters and sensational views.
  • Qawra to Birgu, Malta, 31km
    Setting off from the popular resort of Qawra, this route hugs Malta’s breathtaking northern coastline before venturing inland.
  • Scandinavia, North Cape, Norway and Sweden, 2,400km
    Majestic waterfalls, deep fjords, glaciers, mountainous hairpin roads – the roads leading to Norway’s North Cape are among the most spectacular to be found anywhere in the world.
  • Gothic Route, Slovakia, 297km
    This route is a motorcyclist’s dream, running through the spectacular landscapes of the High Tatras mountains, protected UNESCO World Heritage sites, caves and abysses, biosphere reserves and national parks.
  • The Silent Route, Spain, 60km
    The scenic route of the A-1702 winds for 60km through the Maestrazgo, showcasing some of the most rugged and beautiful landscapes of Teruel province and passing through multiple historic villages.
  • San Bernadino and Lukmanier, Switzerland, 288km
    This one is all about the spectacular Alpine mountain passes – perfect for those riders who are passionate about hairpins, tight sweeping bends and high-altitude riding.
  • Thunersee and Brienzersee, Switzerland, 183km
    Switzerland is full of glorious mountain scenery, and this mighty round trip is a real classic.
  • The Cat and Fiddle, United Kingdom, 17km
    Deriving its name from a nearby inn, the Cat and Fiddle is one of the most popular motorcycle roads in United Kingdom, with fast straights and a mix of sharp, blind bends and wide-open corners, all running through the picture-perfect scenery of the western Peak District National Park.
  • Kielder Forest Drive, United Kingdom, 19km
    Kielder Forest Drive is one of England’s highest roads (high point 450m) with amazing views over Northumberland.
Middle East
  • Kalba to Alhafia, United Arab Emirates, 177km
    Before setting out from the beautiful coastal destination of Kalba on the east coast, it’s worth paying a visit to Khor Kalba Mangrove Centre, where you can see the oldest mangrove forest in the Emirates, with trees up to eight metres tall.
  • UAE’s highest peak, United Arab Emirates, 168km
    This short route along the east coast will show you some of the best of the region. The route crosses the mountains, going through the longest tunnel in the United Arab Emirates, through desert roads and then back into the mountains, taking in lovely views of the sea and ending at Al Hefaiyah Mountain Conservation Center in Kalba.
Africa
  • Mountains and medinas, Morocco, 893km
    Morocco has an atmosphere like nowhere else, and this circular tour takes in the best of the northwest of the country. Begin in the port city of Casablanca and take the spectacular Atlantic coastal road to Tangier, at the very northern tip of the country where the Strait of Gibraltar separates Africa from Europe.
  • Romania to Morocco 7,800km
    This epic journey begins in the bustling city of Bucharest, Romania, famous for its wide, tree-lined boulevards – perfect for riding – and stunning Belle Époque buildings. From here, ride through Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia to the Italian city of Genoa. It’s then a two-day ferry journey to Tanger Med, Morocco.
  • Panorama Route – Graskop to Blyde River Canyon, South Africa, 70km
    The Panorama Route in the Mpumalanga province is undoubtedly one of the most epic drives in South Africa. Deeply imbued with historical and cultural significance, the route traverses the north-east of the country and offers breathtaking views of mountain scenery, historic sites and picturesque waterfalls.
  • Stellenbosch to Cape Agulhas, South Africa, 259km
    This spectacular route starts out in the beautiful town of Stellenbosch then heads through Franschhoek and out over the amazing Franschhoek Pass before heading down and across Theewaterskloof dam and on to pretty coastal towns like Hermanus, before arriving at Cape Agulhas.
